Retro Emotion — Out Now on All Platforms
It's here.
Retro Emotion is out now on Spotify, Apple Music, and every major platform — ten tracks of pure 80s vocal house feeling, rebuilt from the ground up for 2026.

What the Album Is
Retro Emotion isn't a nostalgia project or a cover collection. It's an act of translation.
We took everything that made late 80s and early 90s vocal house feel the way it did -- the gospel roots, the sincerity, the way the voice sat at the centre of everything and never apologised for demanding your full attention -- and asked: what does that feel like built with 2026 production?
The warmth. The four-to-the-floor kick. The vocal hook that puts something in your chest before you've even processed the words. All of it rebuilt from scratch, with the weight and clarity of modern sound design behind it.
That's the album.
The Sound
Ten tracks covering the full emotional range of the genre. From the uplifting, hands-in-the-air moments to the deeper cuts -- the ones that work at 5am when the room has thinned out and everyone still there has committed to staying until the lights come up.
If you've ever been lifted by a Ce Ce Rogers record, felt Robin S or Crystal Waters reach across the room and find you, or understood why people used to call this music a sanctuary -- this is for you.
If you're new to it, this is a good place to start. We wrote the full history of the sound in Vocal House: The Sound With Soul That Never Left the Dancefloor -- that's the context behind every decision on this record.
This Week: Three Albums
Retro Emotion arrives in the same week as two companion albums.
Vintage Rhythm is also out now -- the soulful, piano-led, gospel-leaning side of the late 80s and early 90s house era, rebuilt the same way. Ten tracks. The 5am side of the warehouse. Listen to Vintage Rhythm on Spotify.
And on Thursday 29th May, Classic Revisions completes the picture -- ten tracks from the acid house, Chicago, and Balearic side of the era. The same philosophy, different DNA. Pre-save Classic Revisions here before it drops.
Together, these three albums are our most focused statement on an era that built everything we make. You can read the full story behind the project in Classic Revisions & Vintage Rhythm: 80s/90s House Reimagined.
Why This Sound, Why Now
The vocal house records of the 80s were made without any guarantee that the genre would last. They were made in the moment, for people who needed them. And they've outlasted almost everything else from that decade.
That's what sincerity does.
We've been building towards this record since the beginning of Skeleton House Collective -- through the Balearic journeys, through the Rework Sessions, through everything we've learned about what makes music reach across a room and make you feel something real.
Retro Emotion is where that road led.
Listen on Spotify -- the dancefloor is ready.
