Skeleton House Collective Presents

Tributes

Twenty-two conversations between deceased icons.
Two companion albums. One unfinished argument with time.

"What would Amy say about Marilyn?
What would Michael say about Amy?
What if the conversations history never got to have
are still worth having?"

The Concept

Dead singers singing

Legends Reborn and Dead Reckoning are companion albums. Both are built on the same conceit: every track is written and performed in the voice of one deceased artist, addressed to another deceased artist they never got to thank — or never got to face — in life.

Legends Reborn is the celebration. Eleven artists honouring the ones who shaped them. Amy Winehouse on Marilyn Monroe. Bob Dylan on Michael Jackson. Freddie Mercury on Kurt Cobain. Nina Simone on Billie Holiday. The conversations history never got to have, finally happening in song.

Dead Reckoning is the reckoning. The same artists — and others — turning the mirror back on themselves. Michael Jackson facing Amy Winehouse. Kurt Cobain reaching Tupac Shakur across the coastal divide. Elvis singing to Freddie. Prince to Bowie. Heavier, darker, harder to look away from.

Both albums are pop. Both are vocal-led. Both are designed to be heard as one continuous body of work.
