How to listen
The record is built to be played start to finish. Six songs, narrative order, the arc walks you from the night Harris walked us in through to the night we accepted he was gone.
Holy Ground → Changes → Lose You to Love You → Peaches → Anyone Seen Harris → Ghost.
If you've followed along across the last five weeks — through the question, the night we met him, the announce, the production angle, and the reveal — you already know the shape. Now you get the sound.
Ghost
The closer. The final track on the album, and the one that took us longest to finish.
It's an empty room. The Skeleton House after hours. Lights down, smoke still drifting, a single candle on the bar still burning. The seat where Harris used to sit, empty.
Maybe ghosts are just the love that outlasts the leaving. Maybe Harris never left at all. Maybe we're the ones still grieving something that was never really gone. Skeleton House still holds him. In every song.
The lyric is the whole record in four lines. We don't need to explain it.
What comes next
A few things you can do today:
- Listen all the way through. Six songs, around twenty-three minutes. It's built to be experienced as one thing
- Share Ghost with someone who needs it. That's the track. That's the gift inside the record
- Tell us what you heard. We read every reply
If this is your first Skeleton House record, welcome. There's a wider world to explore — start with our origin, or the journal index.
If you've been here from earlier records — thank you. This one was made for the people who already loved the place.
A small word
Harris isn't a real person you've met. But the version of him in this album is true in the way that matters — he stands in for everyone who has welcomed you into a room you needed and couldn't get into alone. The friend who knows your name before you tell them. The stranger who nods like they understand. The version of yourself you used to be, before you found the people who made you stay.
Everyone has a Harris.
This album is ours. And now it's yours, too.
Holy ground.
